Scotland County Genealogical Society

The Scotland County Genealogical Society was established in November 1990.  The purpose of the society is to serve as a medium of exchange of genealogical information through workshops, programs, and publications.  It promotes the collection and preservation of materials of genealogical and historical value.


The SCGS meets September through May (except December) on the fourth Monday at 7:30 PM at the Scotland County Memorial Library, West Church Street, Laurinburg, NC.  Membership is open to all interested persons.  Annual membership dues are: Single and Institutions - $15.00; Family, $20.00.  The Newsletter is published quarterly by Joyce Braswell and Betty Edens.
